ST- Fixed Gear Friday!

Good morning!

Mileage since 9MAY: 58mi

So, having finally gotten the time to retrieve my fixed gear bike from the service guys last night, I figured this would be a great time to start fixed gear fridays.  Clay hooked me up with a sweet 20T cog.  So, I am currently running a 39X20 (39 teeth on the chain ring X 20 teeth on the cog).  Which, to be honest, is probably WAY low, but it got me up the hills without too much drama.  When I got the bike it was 39X16- perfect for riding out in the rolling hills in CA (where I had a significant altitude advantage as well.)  I know I will have to work up to at least a 18T, because going downhill this morning was just not very fun!  The trip was only a little bit slower than usual- 50min v. 40min, which over the course of 11miles is not too bad.  Clearly that says more about my geared riding!

Ok, short one this morning, but look forward to this weekend when I will introduce the largest Cat6 race of the year!
